Many business owners will recognise Anoob Saban’s journey. Starting as a night porter in a hotel, he worked his way up via several hotel chains until about five years ago, when he started his own hotel. Since then, he has acquired or negotiated management contracts for nine more and created a chain called Brilliant Hotels. He has achieved this almost single-handedly, travelling across the country and working insane hours. Six months ago, he came to a decision point; either scale back the business to something more manageable or develop a senior team which could help him to continue the expansion.
