Business owners from across Lambeth and beyond gathered at the marvellous Piano House this week to network and learn. There was a real buzz in the room as people got together to talk about how they could help each other.
We were inspired by Gbemi Shitta, who shared her impressive journey with SweetDoughThings – from her kitchen table all the way to exporting internationally🚀 It was a truly inspirational story of resilience, persistence and belief. But it was also a testament to the power of networking. At every road block, Gbemi found someone who could guide her through (or around!) and she found them by networking, I firmly believe that people want to help, it’s deep in our DNA, but we can only help if we know there’s a problem. When Gbemi met people and described her current challenge, she always found someone who had the answer.
