It was a real pleasure to host this month’s extraordinary Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) network event. The range and depth of experience in the room was amazing. With leading exponents in timberframe building, to experts in finance, TV production, cyber-security and travel, every conversation was a learning experience. Special thanks to Neil Prentice for sharing his insights into accounting and in particular, #MakingTaxDigital. Networking is much more than exchanging business cards and getting leads. As this session amply demonstrated, it’s about exchanging knowledge, comparing sectors, making connections and learning from others. As I say in my book #ProsperwithPurpose many of my best innovations have come from exchanges of sector knowledge.
